Unparalleled Business Continuity
Ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery is leading the digital landscape of organizations worldwide as cyber-attacks increase in frequency and sophistication, while ‘work from anywhere’ grows in popularity. To close more clients and stay ahead of the competition, businesses have to utilize comprehensive business continuity technologies to protect growing amounts of data. Reliable, tested, and proven solutions, playbooks, and plans are critical to surviving a breach without fatal consequences.
Axcient x360 gives MSPs one platform to Protect Everything – Business Continuity, Cloud to Cloud Backup, and Secure Sync and Share. Through a single pane of glass, MSPs can protect themselves and their customers with single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and multi-tenant management to increase MSP productivity and reduce total cost of managed services (TCOMS).
Designed for uninterrupted business continuity and data availability for customers’ applications and IT infrastructure, Axcient enables speed and flexibility when MSPs recover from a system crash, power outage, natural disaster, or an accidental or malicious deletion. Imagine owning the capacity to affirm to customers that their businesses are fully protected, and no disruption can ever touch their daily operations. Allowing customers to focus on improving their products and services without any worry of data loss is the impact of an effective business continuity solution.
Data loss is often fatal. Studies show that 60% of SMBs who lose their data shut down within just 6 months.
Today’s cybersecurity threats, remote endpoints, and requirements from cloud, security, and compliance regulations mean small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) must choose the right business continuity solution to keep business moving. Businesses without cloud recovery can be significantly impacted by natural disasters, such as fires and flooding when physical access is not possible. Additionally, on premise hardware failures and accidental deletion by employees are two of the leading reasons for data loss and downtime.
Small businesses who invest in security software are doing the right thing, but 100% guaranteed protection is impossible. It’s critical to have both business continuity and disaster recovery solutions in place as a last line of defense. Unfortunately, 43% of cyber-attacks target small businesses, and 60% of businesses who are successfully attacked are out of business within just six months.
Companies operating in regulated industries are facing stricter compliance and data privacy regulations due to new laws and increased enforcement by federal and state governments. Penalties and fines can be significant, wiping out profits and threatening business reputation. While data protection is required by most data privacy and security legislation, including HIPAA and GDPR, data loss in any industry can significantly impact a business’s future.
Keep Business Running with Trusted Backup, Recovery and Restore Solutions
Axcient x360Recover allows MSPs and their customers’ to focus on business growth, rather than worrying about data loss. Axcient partners with MSPs to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective business continuity where data is always recoverable.
BEST-IN-CLASS RPO & RTO
Axcient x360Recover for business continuity provides a best-in-class recovery point objective (RPO) of 15-minutes, and a recovery time objective (RTO) of less than 1-hour. RPO and RTO are two of the most important parameters of a disaster recovery or data protection plan.
RPO measures the interval of time from the failure, disaster, or data loss event , to when data was last backed up. It is the maximum amount of data, as measured in time, that can be lost before exceeding the maximum threshold acceptable to a business. RTO is the duration of time it takes to restore lost data after a breach, and avoid unacceptable consequences associated with the break in business continuity.
Axcient’s mission is to Keep Business Running. With self-managed disaster recovery and virtualization using Axcient Virtual Office, plus automated runbook features, you can easily and automatically recover desktops, laptops, client servers, and workstations, almost instantly. Meet and exceed the most stringent service-level agreements (SLAs) with impressive RPO and RTO requirements.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Axcient business continuity provides the industry’s only chain-free image-based backup solution, which means there is no backup chain dependency. Most backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions depend on chains where each new scheduled backup is added as a sequential chain after the initial full backup image.
In other words, each new recovery point is dependent on the prior recovery point. Like any physical chain, damage to any chain link compromises the integrity of its entirety. A deletion or corruption of any one of these recovery points makes future recovery points useless. With chain-free technology each recovery point independent, verified, and bootable.
There are several benefits to going chain-free: more efficient use of storage, greater reliability, and confidence in every backup even if corruption does occur, plus, there is never any need to perform time consuming reseeding. The storage efficiency of x360Recover is 30% greater than other BDR solution, thereby greatly reducing cost. Many BDR solutions recommend time-consuming reseeding annually in case of corruption, but with Axcient business continuity that is no longer necessary.
CHOICE & FLEXIBILITY
Axcient is unique in providing our Partners the greatest choice and flexibility. MSPs and their SMB clients can BYOD and BYOC. BYOD, or “Bring Your Own Device,” means Axcient Partners can build or repurpose their own hardware for use as a local BDR appliance, or purchase a turn-key hardware and software bundle from Axcient. Partners can purchase hardware outright or enroll in the Axcient hardware leasing program. BYOC, or “Bring Your Own Cloud,” means Axcient Partners can use the Axcient Cloud or provide their own cloud through their own data center, or do both to retain multiple offsite copies of critical data.
This choice and flexibility gives partners the ability to design the best service for their customers to support optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) and customer SLAs. Depending on SMB customer requirements and industry specific use cases, this level of choice and flexibility can be critical for effective data protection.
SECURITY & COMPLIANCE
A vendor is nothing without the health of their security program, cloud, and infrastructure. SecurityScorecard, an independent third-party, scored the Axcient ecosystem of solutions and the Axcient Cloud with an ‘A’ rating.
This makes Axcient the highest scored business continuity solution in the industry. This scoring was attained through thorough testing of ten security risk factors which afford visibility into the cyberhealth of the Axcient ecosystem. These ten risk factors include: Network Security, DNS Health, Patching Cadence, Endpoint Security, IP Reputation, Application Security, Cubit Score, Hacker Chatter, Information Leakage, and Social Engineering. The Cubit Score is an indicator of a security program’s maturity through implementation of best practices. Hacker Chatter refers to information on the dark web that speaks to a past or existing compromise.
The Axcient security team works around the clock to constantly test and improve our solutions and cloud security.
MSP PARTNER NETWORK
Axcient works exclusively with managed service providers (MSPs) so SMBs get the best service. MSPs provide a high touch managed service backed by a comprehensive SLA so SMBs don’t have to worry about IT or their data but can focus on their core business.

Understanding the Business Continuity Management Framework
Like any other types of business models and processes, business continuity is structured on a framework that enables organizations to execute and implement the necessary strategies that apply to their business and its operations. There are several layers to a business continuity management (BCM) Framework, but essentially, this outlines the necessary components to cover all the bases of an organization’s processes.
POLICIES & STRATEGIES
Policies and Strategies determine the scope and range of what “business continuity” means to the company or organization. As the first phase in the BCM Framework, the policies and strategies that are critical to the operations of a business have to be identified, and this includes designating key personnel responsible for building and improving on the organization’s business continuity plans. At the core of business continuity is ensuring that all applications are in working order, stored data is accessible, and hardware, such as a server, are protected whenever a threat to operations exists.
RISK ASSESSMENT
Risk Assessment covers the consideration of all potential threats to the organization and its operations. This may include looking at a heavily fluctuating market, for instance, or the enterprise’s key people, and usually, comprehending the competition’s capacity and quality standards. The broadness of possible risks can be disconcerting, but listing down and pinning down all the risks that could damage the organization is necessary to ensuring business continuity. Once all these risks have been listed down and contextualized, ranking them according to the impact they carry will allow the organization to create solutions for these issues.
INCIDENT IDENTIFICATION
Incident Identification is the part of the BCM Framework that serves to determine what the enterprise considers as an “incident.” The determination of an incident is the event(s) most likely to trigger the business continuity plan. These events are to be documented as policy, and these policies should also have a corresponding point of contact (POC) tasked with calling for the business continuity plan, or taking immediate action whenever an incident occurs.
BUSINESS IMPACT & ASSESSMENT
Business Impact and Assessment can be perceived as a cataloging process that intends to narrow down the acceptable amount of data that an organization can lose in the unfortunate event of a natural disaster, system crash, or cyber-attack. This phase includes determining the data in-store, its location, the process involved in mining, and its accessibility. Knowing these is crucial in identifying which of these digital assets have to be taken care of the most, thus allowing the organization or the POC an accurate figure of allowable data loss.
VALIDATION & TESTING
Validation and Testing are the processes required of an enterprise so they can zero in on the significance of the proposed solutions, which then serve to mitigate the impact of possible risks to business continuity. It is necessary for an organization to constantly have an overview of the potential threats. And the varying levels of damage that these risks carry have to be measured and tested, respectively, and the outlined plans to mitigate these also have to be evaluated for an organization to know they can be implemented.
DISASTER RECOVERY
Disaster Recovery (DR) is the deployment of personnel and solutions when an incident has taken place. While business continuity covers all the bases, such as leading operations and establishing policies, DR is the answer to the issues that the BCM failed to anticipate or control.
Axcient is Your Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Solution
Heavy data loss kills businesses. Take for instance how 60% of SMBs close shop within six months of a breach. Lost hours due to downtime can be hugely impactful to a business, whether it’s for the short- or long-term. The slightest hiccup can turn off even the most loyal of customers and consumers. Your credibility and reputation as a brand can easily disintegrate when your systems, servers, or applications encounter frequent downtime – and before you know it, customer retention is dwindling. Word-of-mouth reviews and negative social media posts can spread like wildfire, so allowing these risks to exist will only cost you more in the long run – and that’s if you survive.
This is where our business continuity solutions provide the most value. Axcient protects your IT structure and data before even lighting the match, as well as putting out the fire quickly should a disaster occur.
Business continuity cements your operations; from data protection to ensuring the integrity of your products and services. It preserves an organization and its culture by enabling strength against a catastrophic strike, so no loss is substantial enough to bring you down.
“
We installed Axcient’s business continuity solution, x360Recover, and our engineers went, ‘Wow, this is magical! This is awesome. This is amazing. It does all of these wonderful things: virtualization, off-site replication, and it’s easy to work with.’ They were very impressed with the technology as well as the support.
