Turn-Key BDR Appliance?
We call our appliances turn-key for a reason. They are shipped to you or your customer’s site ready to go because Axcient BDR appliances are designed to be hassle-free and easy to deploy. Plus, we provide a standard 3-year warranty that can be extended to 4 or 5 years, advanced parts replacement, and customer drop shipping via advanced configuration. This means that you can focus on the practical needs of your end clients while we take care of the rest.
Low Bandwidth – No Problem
We understand that there’s no one-size-fits-all BDR solution for MSPs. That’s why we offer both appliance-based or direct-to-cloud deployment of x360Recover. If your client has bandwidth issues and you must be able to deliver on a very short RTO promise, choosing an Axcient appliance for that client just makes sense.
Axcient x360Recover provides MSPs with industry-leading recovery capabilities with short RPO and RTO times. With a recovery point objective (RPO) of just 15 minutes and a recovery time objective (RTO) of less than 1 hour, disaster recovery is fast and dependable.
Ordering is Simple
We make it easy for MSP partners who worry about old or obsolete hardware to upgrade. From the Axcient x360Portal, you can order appliances to use with x360Recover. When you access the Order BDR menu item inside your x360Portal, you will be greeted with a wizard-style ordering system allowing you to purchase multiple appliances simultaneously.

BDR Appliance Flexibility
Axcient is unique in providing our partners with the greatest choice and flexibility of any BDR vendor in the channel. Because x360Recover is hardware agnostic, it enables Axcient’s BYOD approach, or “Bring Your Own Device,” meaning Partners can build or repurpose their own hardware for use as a local BDR appliance or purchase a turn-key hardware and software bundle from Axcient.
Additionally, BYOC, or “Bring Your Own Cloud,” means that Axcient Partners can use the Axcient Cloud, provide their own cloud through their own data center, or do both to retain multiple offsite copies of critical data.
This choice and flexibility gives partners the ability to design the best service for their customers to support optimal total cost of ownership and customer SLAs. Depending on SMB customer requirements and industry-specific use cases, this level of choice and flexibility can be critical for effective data protection and reduce the number of solutions in an MSPs vendor stack that must be mastered by their team.
Let’s take a look at the options MSPs have when purchasing an Axcient appliance…
Use an Axcient Appliance
We offer a variety of choices if you have decided to use an Axcient BDR appliance. You can choose to purchase or lease BDR hardware appliances from us. The new BDR appliance ordering system in the x360 Portal has a modern UI. It is wizardized, and is easy to use even when purchasing several appliances at a time.
Your Axcient BDR Appliance Options
We offer a range of high-performance BDR hardware devices shipped directly to you or your customer. All of our turn-key BDR appliances express storage sizes in terms of recommended usage. For example, an Eco-1500 has 1.5TB of recommended, usable space. This same BDR may have up-to 2TB raw space, but after we account for space needed for the ZFS file system and apply an 85% recommended usage amount, you end up with 1.5TB of usable storage. This makes it easy for you to choose the right size BDR by simply looking at the BDR name or usable size. The following options are available:
The x360Recover Pico
The x360Recover Pico is Axcient’s most compact and affordable BDR solution, built on the ASUS Dual M.2 NUC platform. It features a dedicated OS disk and a 1.5TB storage disk, optimized for protecting 1-3 systems. This appliance is designed for small businesses requiring virtualization capabilities for a single system and includes a standard 3-year warranty for peace of mind.

Its 2-disk, RAID-1 configuration provides usable storage ranging from 1.5TB to 6TB, making it ideal for environments prioritizing virtualization for 2-3 systems. IPMI makes it possible to control and monitor servers centrally and could save MSPs a lot of time and operational overhead.
The Eco is a compact server and comes in three models:
- Eco-1500 has 1.5 TB usable storage and 16 GB of RAM

Extended 4- or 5-year warranties are available and can be added anytime during the initial three-year warranty. Features include:
- Hot-swap drive bays for easy storage drive replacement
